Digital marketing is gaining traction across the island as more and more businesses and individuals are looking for ways to improve their digital presence and marketing efforts.
While Hawaii is not the only state with a digital marketing strategy in place, Hawaii’s digital marketing program has taken a big step forward with the arrival of the 2017 Hawai’i Digital Marketing Initiative.
The program aims to bring together industry leaders in the Hawaiian Digital Marketing Industry, a coalition of companies, universities and research institutions that have been working together on the topic.
Hawaii’s digital program is part of the state’s broader efforts to develop and expand digital marketing expertise across the state.
Hawaii is currently a leader in the development and implementation of digital marketing initiatives across the country.
According to the Hawai’ian Digital Marketing Association, Hawaii has become the leader in digital marketing with more than 200 digital marketing organizations, with more companies than in any other state in the nation.
There are several reasons why Hawaii is making strides in digital strategy, said Steve O’Neill, executive director of Hawaii Digital Marketing.
For one, Hawaii is among the first states to allow employers to choose which employers are eligible to participate in the Hawaiʻi Digital marketing program, allowing employers to reach employees and employees to employees in a single, unified way.
Also, Hawaii, like most states, has adopted a number of digital policies and initiatives that have led to significant economic growth, including the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act, which requires employers to share their digital strategy with employees.
Hawaii also is a leader when it comes to digital advertising.
For example, Hawaii recently launched its first advertising campaign to promote the 2018 Hawaii World Cup in partnership with social media platform Snap, and the company has also launched its own digital advertising campaign.
The digital marketing effort, which will begin in 2019, will feature an advertising agency that is part-owned by a Hawaiian company and the state is also collaborating with more traditional marketing agencies in order to expand digital advertising opportunities across the Hawaiian Islands.
