Phoenix Suns general manager Jeff Hornacke says the Suns need “diversity” in their roster before the 2018-19 season and the club needs to take a hard look at its branding.
“I think there’s a lot of great players, great players from our organization, and I think there is a lot that we can learn from the past,” Hornaceke said.
“I think it’s a little bit too soon to talk about that, but I think the fact that we’re getting young, talented people is something that we need to take seriously.
I think we’re going to have to be a little more creative and take it a little further.”
Hornacek’s comments come as the Suns face a crowded and difficult marketplace.
The team’s logo has been widely mocked, the club’s home and away jerseys are getting a makeover, and a new uniforms are set to debut this year.
“Our logo is very, very diverse.
We’re going through some difficult times right now,” Hornackel said.”
“But there’s going to be people who don’t have a lot to offer the fans. “
There’s going be people that don’t understand the game, and then there are some who are going to try to help out.””
But there’s going to be people who don’t have a lot to offer the fans.
There’s going be people that don’t understand the game, and then there are some who are going to try to help out.”
For the Suns, the focus has to be on diversity.
The franchise is owned by the Suns’ largest shareholder, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, which is located at the new Phoenix Convention Center.
The building opened in January and will have an estimated capacity of 4,000.
“You can’t take away the fans, you can’t make the fans pay a premium for a premium product.
You’ve got to give them something that they love, and we can do that,” Horncke said of the branding changes.
So, we’re working very, really hard on that.””
There’s a whole world of difference between having a logo that’s not a great representation of the franchise, a logo where they don’t feel comfortable or feel like it doesn’t represent them and having a great logo.”
So, we’re working very, really hard on that.
“As the Suns continue to rebuild, the team has begun to make strides in marketing the brand.
The Suns logo has seen a major overhaul, with a logo redesign in 2019, new uniforms in 2019 and a logo refresh in 2020.
Phoenix Suns GM Josh Kroenke has a brand strategy focused on “diverse” people.
His team’s brand has been overhauled in 2018.
The team has also been working on a new logo.
It will be unveiled this season.
We have had some really positive steps that have been made,” he said.
